Visual artist Bonita Williams Goldberg and writer and photographer, Valda Hilley composed the book, ARTSPIRATIONS. The book compiles 36 color images of Bonita's paintings arranged among inspirational quotes from many known artists, celebrities and presidents. These were collected over many years for inspiration and creativity.
Bonita and Valda will be available on May 12, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Greenwich House Gallery to sell and autograph copies of the book ARTSPIRATIONS. The event is free and open to the public; refreshments provided.
Bonita was born and raised in the Cincinnati area and now resides in Butler County. She finished her formal education in 1988 at Thomas More College and continued taking masters classes in painting and drawing at Miami University. She also studied at Mount St. Joseph College, the Cincinnati Art Academy, Baker-Hunt and Middletown Arts Center. She studied with Lela Cooney, John Nartker, Sandy Rosen, Michael Scott, Kevin Kelly, Greg Storer, Diane Fishbien, Barb Rauf, Wolff Kahn , Cole Carothers and Steve Perucca, among others.
She had many photographers over the years until Valda Hilley was recommended to her. That was the beginning of not only a good professional relationship, but a personal friendship. Valda is a very diverse and well-educated woman who still has her hands in many ventures. What she does, she does the best. Valda came up with the idea to write this book, and would not let it die!
You will find among the images and quotes both diversity and similarity. One thing is always present, is Bonita's love for color. She says "Painting is my voice, color is my language".
