"I was born in the small town full of German heritage and beautiful landscapes that most people in the area call Jasper, Indiana. Like many artists in their youth, my love for color and paint made me most happy, and I was soon gaining awards and scholarships. I later began to study commercial art in my college years and continue today as a daily painter! I now reside back in my charming hometown of Jasper and make a living with art; I'm living the dream, especially when working with oil paintings. I am a member of the Hoosier Art Salon, Jasper Art Guild, American Impressionist Society Inc. and Indianapolis Arts Organization. Having been a fine artist for many years in a contemporary and impressionistic style, I've garnered many awards, news publications, and recognition from curators for my style and creative colors. Luminosity and vibrancy of color are what continue to give me inspiration, and are featured in most of my work. I continue to study, embrace workshops, and serve as an instructional aide with my favorite artists."
